Christopher Kissoglou

Christopher Kissoglou has extensive experience working in family law, commencing at a leading family law barristers’ chambers, followed by several years in private practice, including at a nationally ranked leading Doyle’s Guide firm. He has a depth of experience in matters both non-litigated and litigated, including matters litigated both at first instance before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and on appeal, before both the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 1) Appellate Jurisdiction and the High Court of Australia. Christopher frequently appears on behalf of clients as an advocate in Court, as well as instructing counsel at both interim and final hearings.
Christopher has experience in matters ranging from divorce, child support, simple and complex parenting disputes, contests as to the existence of de facto relationships, forum disputes, spousal maintenance and property settlement matters ranging from simple asset pools to asset pools consisting of diverse and complex company and trust structures.
Whilst Christopher has spent a significant amount of time in the courtroom, he understands that clients are better served by resolving their matters well before litigation is ever required. Family law matters are often riddled with emotion and Christopher takes the time to ensure that his clients approach their matters in a thoughtful way which enables them to make prudent long-term decisions which have a positive impact on their future. This often includes reaching resolutions via negotiation or at mediation.
His qualifications are:
– Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree (Honours) with a Bachelor of Business Administration
– Admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of NSW
– Member of the Family Law Section
