Madeleine Geoghegan has worked exclusively in family law both since 2020, both prior to and since her admission to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and High Court of Australia.

Madeleine had extensive experience in advising her client’s, with a strong focus on achieving practical and commercially sensible outcomes.  She is approachable and takes great joy in assisting her client’s with their matters.

Madeleine has represented a wide variety of clients and has experience in matters ranging from divorce, simple and complex parenting disputes including relocation and contraventions, spousal maintenance and property settlement matters ranging from simple asset pools to complex asset pools comprised of company and trusts.

While Madeleine believes in exploring all avenues of alternate dispute resolution prior to resorting to litigation, she is a confident advocate with experience in appearing on behalf of her client’s in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and briefing counsel.  

Her qualifications are:

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
• Bachelor of Social Science
• Admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales
• Admitted in the High Court of Australia
